Terms of Service
The agreement between you and DeepSum for the website at www.deepsum.com and the DeepSum reporting application. Effective 12 October 2026.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the public website at www.deepsum.com (the "website") and to the DeepSum reporting application at www.deepsum.com/reports (the "application", and together the "service"). By using the website, or by creating an account in the application, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you may bind that business, and "you" means that business.
2. An early-access service
DeepSum is in an early-access phase. The website describes the product as it works today; nothing on it is a warranty, a contractual commitment or a guarantee of future features, and capabilities may change or be withdrawn as the product develops. The application may be updated at any time, and we may give you notice in the application of changes that affect you.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and use the service for business purposes. Give accurate details when you sign up, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and tell us promptly at hello@deepsum.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for the people you invite into your organization and for what they do with the access you give them.
4. Your data
You own your accounting data, the files you upload and the reports produced from them. You grant us the permission we need to store and process that data to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy, and for nothing else. You confirm that you are entitled to connect each QuickBooks Online company and to upload each file you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you connect or upload; DeepSum reports what that data contains.
5. QuickBooks Online and other third-party services
Connecting a QuickBooks Online company uses Intuit's authorization process and is governed by Intuit's own terms and privacy statement. DeepSum reads your QuickBooks data and does not write to it. DeepSum is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Intuit; QuickBooks and Intuit are trademarks of Intuit Inc. The availability and accuracy of data from QuickBooks depend on Intuit's service and on your QuickBooks subscription; we are not responsible for interruptions or changes on Intuit's side, though we will show you in the application when a sync has not completed. The same applies to any other third-party service you choose to connect.
6. Reports are not professional advice
DeepSum produces financial reports, dashboards, drill-downs, management packs and forecasts from your data. They are tools to help you understand your business, not accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. Review figures before relying on them for filings, financing or other decisions, and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to access data you have no right to, to interfere with the service or other users, to probe or circumvent its security, to reverse-engineer it, or to resell it without our written agreement. Do not upload malicious content. We may suspend access that we reasonably believe breaches these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.
8. Fees
During early access, use of the application is free unless we have agreed fees with you in writing. If we introduce paid plans, we will publish them on the Pricing page and ask for your agreement before charging you; nothing is charged without your consent.
9. Intellectual property
The DeepSum name and logo, the application, and the design and text of the website belong to us. You may quote the website with attribution. You may not copy the service, reproduce the website, or use our name or branding in a way that suggests endorsement. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.
10. Confidentiality and security
We treat your accounting data as confidential, use it only to provide the service, and protect it with the measures described in the Privacy Policy and on the Security page. We will tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a security incident affecting your data.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access during early access. We may take the service down for maintenance or updates and will try to minimize disruption. Synchronization with QuickBooks runs on a schedule and may be delayed; the application shows the time of the last successful sync.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The website and the application are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for decisions you make in reliance on reports produced by the service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period, or, if you paid nothing, to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time, disconnect any QuickBooks company, remove a company, or ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can. On termination, sections 4, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 14 continue to apply, and data is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy.
14. General
These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us for the service. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell signed-in users in the application. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
